UNLAWFUL POSSESSION FIREWORKS - POTSDAM - An investigation into a complaint of possible shots being fired Monday evening on Washington Street led to the arrest of a Potsdam man for possessing fireworks.
Village police charged Michael D. Greer, 58, of Potsdam with unlawful possession of fireworks at 7:15 p.m. Monday on Washington Street.
Police said Greer was observed lighting fireworks off.
DWI - POTSDAM - An investigation into a vehicle from the Tons parking lot late Monday night led to the arrest of a Potsdam man for drinking and driving and a number of other charges.
Village police charged Kenneth J. French, 46, of Potsdam with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle without owners consent at 11:17 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Sisson Street after he was observed operating a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
