PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Edward C. Lamay, 54, of 51 Willow St., Malone, with petit larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 8:08 p.m. Tuesday after responding to a shoplifting complaint at Walmart. Lamay allegedly went past the store’s last point od sale without paying for $569.90 worth of merchandise, including food items. tools and DVDs. During processing on the petit larceny count, police discovered he had five Lyrica tablets, a pain medication used for the treatment of fibromyalgia and shingles, hidden in a cigarette package. He was released on appearance tickets for Jan. 29 in Massena Village Court.



AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Mark J. Gonyou, 24, of 273 East Orvis St., Massena, with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle following a traffic stop at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday on Harrowgate Commons. He was also ticketed for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle.



FAILURE TO YIELD - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Chelsea E. Brown, 20, of County Route 39, Massena, for failure to yield the right of way at a green light at 8:44 p.m. Monday following an incident on Main Street at state Route 37.



UNINSPECTED MOTOR VEHICLES - MASSENA - Village police ticketed three motorists for operation of uninspected motor vehicles following traffic stops Monday afternoon. They included:

■ Leo Dufresne, 71, of Massena at 4:26 p.m. on East Hatfield Street.

■ Ryan D. Ordway, 22, of Massena at 4:09 p.m. on Main Street.

■ Cullen M. Baines, 18, of Massena t 3:48 p.m. on East Orvis Street.
