Gaylord Thomas, 59, of Akwesasne, Ontario, was ticketed Thursday at noon on New York Avenue for passing in a no passing lane, city police reported.

Jessica A. Rishe, of 124 Oak St., reported Thursday at 10:19 a.m. that her home was burglarized. Details weren’t available but Ogdensburg police said that entry to her home was unforced.

Ogdensburg firefighters were called Thursday at 12:18 a.m. to a residence at 416 Montgomery St. where a burned out light bulb in a floor lamp caused a brief electrical fire. There was no major damage and no injuries. City police assisted the fire department.

Ogdensburg police were notified Wednesday at 2:13 p.m. that a bad check was received at Gerry’s Spirits liquor store, 1143 Paterson St.
