Massena wrestlers fall to Gouverneur

GOUVERNEUR - The Massena Central wrestling team dropped a 50-24 NAC decision on the road to Gouverneur on Friday.

Nolan Terrance notched the only pin of the night for the Raiders, finishing off Mike Mandigo in just 43 seconds at 285 pounds to remain undefeated against NAC rivals this winter. The other Massena wins were by forfeit - Isaiah Perry at 145 pounds, Cameron Tarbell at 220 and Brian Plourde at 99.

The Raiders, slipped to 6-3 with the loss in what will likely be their regular season finale. Their meet at home against Clifton-Fine slated for this past Wednesday was postponed and will likely not be made up.

With the win, Gouverneur closed out a fourth straight undefeated NAC regular season and stretched its unbeaten streak to 43 meets.

The Section 10 Championship Meet is slated for Saturday, February 9, at Canton Central’s Jerry Hourihan Gym.

The other Friday night meet saw OFA down Canton 63-24.
