HARASSMENT - MASSENA - Village police picked up Alan M. Green, 21, of 54 McCluskey Ave., Massena, on an arrest warrant for a harasment charge at 1:53 a.m. Wednesday at 405 South Main St. Green allegedly threatened to beat up Justin Love during an incident that occurred on Dec. 5. He was arraigned by Acting Massena Village Justice James M. Crandall and released after posting $100 bail.



PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Angela M. Swinyer, 42, of 816 Pearl St., Ogdensburg, with two counts of petit larceny at 12:51 p.m. Tuesday following an alleged shoplifting incident at Wal-Mart. Store loss prevention associates told police they observed select two packages of jelly beans and placed them in her purse and then take several items from her cart and placed them in her purse and under her shirt before walking into the vestibule past the last point of sale, where she was stopped by store personnel and found to be in possession of $90.19 worth of merchandise. She also reportedly admitted he had walked out of the store approximately 15 minutes earlier without paying for $24.59 worth of merchandise. Swinyer was arraigned by Acting Massena Village Justice James M. Crandall and released under the supervision of the probation department with a stipulation she not enter any Wal-Mart stores.



DWI - MASSENA - Village police charged John D. Cox, 34, of 228 East Orivs St., Massena, with driving while intoxicated and ticketed him for speed not reasonable and prudent and failure to keep right at 8:36 p.m. Monday following a property damage accident when his vehicle struck a snowbank on Willow Street at Bishop Avenue. Police said they had initially observed Cox’s vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on East Oriv Street. Police said Cox left 65 feet of skidmarks before striking the snowbank. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.17 percent. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher constitues a driving while intoxicated charge in New York state.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Irene M. Castell, 58, of Massena for speed in zone (50/30) at 4:33 p.m. Wednesday following a traffic stop on East Orvis Street.



INADEQUATE HEADLIGHTS - MASSENA - Village police ticketed Alonie L. McGee, 40, of Massena for operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on Parker Avenue.



SPEEDING - MASSENA - Village police ticketed William D. Camidge, 46, of Carthage for speed in zone at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop on the South Racquette River Road.
