A 17-year-old girl was arrested by Watertown police Sunday afternoon after she allegedly stabbed her father in the left leg.
Jamilah R. Smith, 657 Olive St., Apt. 6, is charged with the felonies of second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. She was detained for arraignment Monday in City Court.
Her father, Jami R. Smith, 38, same address, was treated at Samaritan Medical Center.
Police allege Miss Smith wielded a kitchen knife against her father at about 10:20 a.m. Sunday during a domestic fight in their apartment. The incident marked the second time in which Mr. Smith has been stabbed. Another 17-year-old girl cut him on his shoulder in April 2005.
Mr. Smith was arrested by city police last May after he struck his wife, Rachel, 31, on the leg with a belt. He pleaded guilty to harassment and was sentenced to 15 days in jail, according to City Court.
