ENDANGERING THE WELFARE - LAWRENCEVILLE - Massena-based state police charged Mark J. Laraby, 28, and Cheryl M. Snyder, 24, both of North Lawrence, with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of unlawfully dealing with a child by providing alcohol to a minor Monday following an investigation into a complaint received Feb. 5 from the town of Lawrence. Troopers said the couple were charged with providing alcohol to two teenagers on New Year’s Eve and providing marijuana in late January or early February to another teenager. The teenagers were 17, 15 and 13, troopers said.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION MARIJUANA - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Dennis J. Stephenson, 18, of Potsdam and Cameron R. Anderson, 19, of Potsdam with unlawful possession of marijuana at 7 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Larue Road in the town of Massena. Stephenson was also ticketed for operation of a vehicle with an inadequate plate lamp.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - CANTON - Canton-based state police investigated a one-vehicle property damage accident at 8:27 p.m. Monday on Miner Street Road, near Taylor Park Road, in the town of Canton.

UNTAXED CIGARETTES - LOUISVILLE - Massena-based state police reported Tuesday they had charged Robert C. Murphy, 69, of Watertown on Dec. 26 with a misdemeanor count of possession of untaxed cigarettes following a traffic stop at 9:33 a.m. in the town of Louisville. He was also ticketed for having an equipment violation - safety glass. Troopers said Murphy was in possession of 90 cartons of cigarettes and 10 logs of chewing tobacco.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - POTSDAM - A pedestrian was ticketed following an investigation into a property damage accident at 1:26 p.m. Monday at the intersection Maple, Market and Main streets. Following investigation on scene, pedestrian Joshua D. Marcolina, 19, of Middletown was cited for violating the pedestrian crossing signal, forcing vehicles to stop abruptly. Jason E. Turck, 30, of Carthage was ticketed for following too closely after he collided with another vehicle that had stopped for the pedestrian.

SPEEDING - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Robert E. Shepherd, 19, of Endwell for speed in zone (52/30) at 9:47 a.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Maple Street.

ILLEGAL WINDOW TINT - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Trista D. Ladue, 21, of Massena for operation of a vehicle with illegal window tint at 11:06 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on Market Street.
