Mrs. Jo A Shampine, 74, of Ocala, FL passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Jo was born in Jeffersonville, IN on June 1, 1938. She was proud of being a US Air Force veteran. Jo was a past Lions Club member and loved performing as a line dancer. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She was greatly loved and will be missed by those who survive her, including her husband of 52 years, Allan “Paul” Shampine; son, Mark Shampine and wife, Wendy; daughter, Catherine Moore and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Victoria Shampine and Jessica Woxland; brother, Richard Simpson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Terry Taddonio. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15th from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. at Roberts Funeral Homes Bruce Chapel West, 6241 SW SR 200, followed by service at11:30 A.M. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to National Breast Cancer Foundation in Jo’s honor.
