GRAND LARCENY - LOUISVILLE - St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies charged Robert E. Kizziah, 51, 71 Westwood Drive, Apt. 1, Massena, with a felony count of fourth-degree grand larceny and misdemeanor charges of theft of services and issuing a bad check on Tuesday.

Deputies said they launched an investigation following a complaint filed bythe owner of Lakeview Motel and Apartments, Louisville, that Kizziah had rented a room at the motel for approximately six weeks and had failed to provide any payment, running up a bill exceeding $1,000. He then allegedly attempted to pay for the room with a check written on an account with insufficient funds.

Kizziah was arraigned by Massena Town Justice James M. Crandall and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $15,000 cash.

Deputies said they were assisted in their investigation by he Massena Village Police.
