POTSDAM - The town has contracted with Blue Mountain Engineering, North Bangor, to see how much it would cost to extend water and sewer service up Route 56.
The town has long talked about expanding its infrastructure to attract new businesses to the busy stretch of road just outside village limits. A study was commissioned in 2006 but plans were scrapped when they were determined to be too expensive.
The new study will cost between $3,750 and $4,500, and according to Town Supervisor Marie C. Regan it may not amount to much.
Were just at the very beginning of a long process, that may or may not end up being fruitful, she said.
