Clarkson recognized for return on investment

POTSDAM - (ACO) has listed Clarkson University in the nation’s top-30 private universities that offer a return on investment of at least $1 million.

Only 1 percent of colleges have a documented $1 million plus return on investment - “alumni whose lifetime earnings surpass those of non-degree holders by seven figures” - the website noted.

The website lists Clarkson with a 30-year net ROI of $1.1 million, the income a graduate could expect to earn after three decades minus the cost of attendance & the amount that graduate would have made with only a high school degree.

“Third party rankings such as this validate what we’ve known for years: that our professors, academic rigor, strong alumni network and value offer an unparalleled higher education experience,” said Clarkson President Tony Collins. “As prospective students and their parents increasingly look for an excellent return on investment from college, Clarkson is well-positioned to continue graduating students with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in a global economy.”

The rankings can be found at .

ACO also recently ranked Clarkson in New York state’s top-10 for colleges and universities that provide the highest return on investment (ROI).

Last fall, ABC News asked PayScale to name the schools with new graduates who earn more than Harvard’s and Clarkson was among just 12 schools on the list. U.S. News & World Report lists Clarkson as #1 in the nation for graduates with the most internship experience and in the nation’s top-12 for its online graduate business programs. Ninety-six percent of Clarkson students place in their field of study or career aspiration in their first year after graduation.
