BURGLARY - MASSENA St. Lawrence County sheriffs detectives and deputies charged Leonard P. Deshane Jr., 27, Massena, with second-degree burglary and third-degree grand larceny on Thursday.
According to a news release fromy Detective Sgt. Brooks J. Bigwarfe, the arrest came after a lengthy investigation into a late May burglary at a residence in the town of Louisville that occurred in.
It is alleged that Mr. Deshane broke into the residence and stole an undisclosed amount of money, jewelry and other miscellaneous items.
Additional details about the incident were not immediately available.
Deshane was arraigned by Louisville Town Judge Virginia A. Gettman and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
The investigation is continuing, and additional charges are pending, deputies said.
