HARASSMENT - POTSDAM - Village police charged Cortney Sturgeon, 23, of Potsdam with second-degree harassment following an investigation into an incident on Oct. 14 when patrols responded to a report of the defendant calling and threatening another person and then showing up at that persons workplace to continue the confrontation. Patrols were able to defuse the situation, and paperwork was submitted to the court for the harassment charge. Sturgeon was served the criminal summons at 6:37 p.m. Tuesday .
AGGRAVATED UNLICENSED OPERATION - POTSDAM - Patrol completed traffic stop on Munson Street. Village police charged Matthew A. Brouse, 26, of Potsdam with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle andticketed him for failure to stop for a stop sign at 8:57 p.m. Tuesday following a traffic stop near the intersection of Larnard Street and Market Street.
