NORFOLK - A cabbage roll sale, a candy sale, Christmas crafts and a raffle will highlight another edition of the Norfolk Church of the Visitation Parish Center Fall Bazaar on Saturday.
The annual bazaar will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the churchs Morris Street location. A luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
They will have a country store, candy sale and there will be coffee and donuts. Also there are handmade crafts, Christmas crafts, and an attic table, Altar Rosary Society Co-President Patricia Fetterly said. There will be a food sale with cabbage rolls. ... The cabbage rolls usually go fast, and its good for people to order them ahead of time.
Ms. Fetterly noted that since the cabbage rolls are generally a top seller people may pre-order by calling Dorothy Grady at 384-3086.
The Altar Rosary Society is a group of parish women who help maintain the churchs altar while also involving themselves in the community.
They maintain and take care of all the altar needs of the church. Also, we donate to various charities within our area, Ms. Fetterly said. All the different supplies they need for the church, we provide all of that stuff.
The bazaar is usually held during the last weekend of October, the co-president said, but due to a prior commitment is on the first Saturday in November this year.
There will also be a raffle. Theres lot of different prizes (for the raffle). Theres not just one winner. We had quite a few different items that were donated, both cash and other items, she said.
We use (the bazaar) to help with different things that go on at the church. We give to different organizations like the food pantry; anything, mostly dealing with the children of the parish.
