ACCIDENTS - POTSDAM - New York State Police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Monday. Among those:
C.G. Champagne, 65, of Parishville, who was involved in a two-vehicle accident with a parked vehicle at 11:37 a.m. in the Aldi parking lot in the town of Potsdam.
Douglas C. Leafe, 69, of Massena and John L. Vezino, 25, of Canton, who were involved in a two-vehicle accident at 10:09 a.m. on County Route 27 in the town of Pierrepont.
Kareen A. Bedford, 24, of Ogdensburg and Connor Irving Warden, 17, of Potsdam, who were involved in a two-vehicle accident at 6:38 p.m. on Sisonville Road in the town of Potsdam.
CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - OGDENSBURG - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Christopher L. Reynolds, 30, of Lisbon with having a controlled substance in a non-original container, second-degree reckless endangerment and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance while investigating a one-vehicle personal injury accident at 5:05 p.m. Monday in the city of Ogdensburg. He was ordered held.
MARIJUANA POSSESSION - WINTHROP - Massena-based state police reported that they had charged Michael A. Mercado, 29, of Winthrop with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed him for speeding at 4:15 p.m. Thursday on state Highway 420 in the town of Stockholm. He was released on an appearance ticket.
ASSAULT - BANGOR - Malone-based state police charged Mark A. Lamica, 28, of Bangor with third-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury and endangering the welfare of a child at 8:30 p.m. Monday after responding to a report of a domestic dispute.
