ONE INJURED - NORTH LAWRENCE - Massena-based state police said John Mayer, 66, of 714 County Route 8, Bangor, was ticketed for unsafe backing following a two-vehicle collision at 5 p.m. Saturday on Route 11C, near Hallahan Road, in the town of Lawrence. Troopers said Mayer was snowplowing and backed into a vehicle on Route 11C being operated by Virginia LaBrake, 62, of North Lawrence. LaBrake’s van went off the roadway, through a snowbank and traveled several yards through the snow before coming to rest after striking a clump of trees. She was transported to a local hospital by Tri-Town Rescue for treatment of chest and nest pain.

ONE INJURED - COLTON - Canton-based state police said one person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 2:44 p.m. Saturday on state Route 56, near Stark Road, in the town of Colton. Troopers said the vehicle was operated by Abigail E. Reyome, 24, of Potsdam.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION MARIJUANA - OSWEGATCHIE - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Louis A. Jacobs, 54, of Akwesasne, Ont., with a misdemeanor count of fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana - more than 25 grams following a traffic stop at 3:01 p.m. Saturday on state Route 37 in the town of Oswegatchie.

PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Billy G. Goodreau, 27, of Norwood with petit larceny Saturday evening following an investigation into a larceny complaint filed with troopers Dec. 5 from the town of Massena.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - BOMBAY - Malone-based state police charged Kevin A. Cook, 21, of Moira with an unlawful possession of marijuana violation following a traffic stop at 5:40 p.m. Friday on the Regan Flats Road in the town of Bombay.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - MOIRA - State police from around the region investigated a number of property damage accidents on Saturday. Among those:

■ Claudette D. Besaw, 74, of Malone at 5:02 p.m. on Route 95, near Dow Road, in the town of Moira.
