PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - MASSENA - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region in recent days. Among those:

■ Theresa J. Woodward, 56, of Ogdensburg at 10:02 a.m. Monday on state Route 56, near Hollywood Drive, in the town of Colton.

■ Ryan W. Strate, 25, of Canton at 6:15 p.m. Monday on County Route 35, near Blanchard Road, in the town of Potsdam.

■ Emily E. Gardner, 33, of Norfolk at 4:41 p.m. Monday on County Route 49, near Hurley Road, in the town of Stockholm.

■ Brandi Lynn Baker, 18, of Helena at 4:54 p.m. on County Route 53, near West Mahoney Road, in the town of Brasher.

■ Richard M. Turschmann, 45, of Saranac Lake at 11:27 a.m. on state Route 458, near Mushtare Road, in the town of Waverly.

■ Mary Beth Beck, 44, of North Laerence at 12:56 p.m. Monday on state Route 458, near O’Connell Road, in the town of Waverly.

■ Amy A. Powers, 47, of Rooseveltown at 3:03 p.m. Monday on state Route 458, near Howe Road, in the town of Waverly.

■ Victoria Lei Reagan, 20, of Norwood at 8:15 p.m. Saturday on County Route 35, near state Route 345, in the town of Potsdam.

■ Donald J. Parent, 56, of Brushton at 5:10 p.m. Saturday on Route 11, near Wheeler Road, in the town of Bangor.

■ Zachary D. Brunelle, 18, of Burnt Hills at 7:01 p.m. Saturday on state Route 458 at Waite Road in the town of Waverly.

■ Steven J. Mitchell, 52, of Fort Covington at 11:59 p.m. Saturday on County Route 3, near Buell Road in the town of Fort Covington.



CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - LISBON — Ogdensburg-based state police charged Dahtez D. Jones, 28, of Massena with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, having a controlled substance in a non-original container and unlawful possession of marijuana at 7:10 p.m. Friday.

Troopers saidJones was stopped by the U.S. Border Patrol on Route 37 and found to be in possession of methadone pills, a Suboxone strip and marijuana. He was turned over to state police.

Jones was arraigned in local court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $5,000 cash.



GOUVERNEUR — Justine R. Johnson, 26, of 341 Cook Road, Hogansburg, was charged by Gouverneur-based state police with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop at 12:08 p.m. Friday.

Troopers said Johnson was stopped on Route 11 for a traffic violation and was found to be in possession of two Suboxone strips.

She is scheduled to appear in Gouverneur Town Court.



AGGRAVATED DWI - WADDINGTON - Marie L. Zarzycki, 42, Madrid, was charged by Massena-bsed state police with aggravated DWI following atraffic stop at 2:27 a.m. Saturday.

Troopers said Zarzycki was stopped by the U.S. Border Patrol on Route 37, Waddington, fand then turned over to state police. She was also charged with consuming alcohol in a vehicle on a public highway.

Zarzycki’s blood alcohol content was 0.21 percent, trooperssaid. .Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes intoxication. The elevated count of aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.





UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - BOMBAY - Malone-based state police charged Joshua A. Garrow, 23, of Hogansburg with unlawful possession of marijuana and ticketed him for an equipment violation - safety glass following a traffic stop at 1:17 p.m. Friday on state Route 37 in the town of Bombay. Troopers said Garrow was also picked up on an arrest warrant.



RESISTING ARREST - FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police charged Denis J. Lauzon, 25, of Fort Covington with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and unlawful possession fo marijuana and ticketed him for a seat belt violation and equipment violations following a traffic stop at 11:40 a.m. Friday,



ASSAULT - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged a 13-year-old male with third-degree assault following an incident reported to troopers at 11:40 a.m. Monday from the town of Moira. The juvenile was turned over to the probation department to determine if he will be petitioned to Family Court.
