POTSDAM - The EJ Noble Guild recently presented their 2013 contribution to the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Foundation.
This years contribution totaled $50,000 – the largest gift in the guilds 62-year history.
Guild volunteers organize a number of community fund-raising events including the annual HollyBerry Bazaar, the Soup Luncheon (set for Feb. 14 this year), Night on the Town Dance (scheduled for June 14 this year), and the Guilds Golf Tournament.
Guild volunteers also assist at Hospital events like health fairs and educational programs, and serve as vital links between the Hospital and the community. Last summer Guild volunteers completed and dedicated the beautiful butterfly garden in front of the EJ Noble Building in Canton.
The 2013 Guild contributions include $25,000 for an infant warmer on the Hhospitals Obstetrics Unit, a $20,000 pledge payment for the Constructing Healthier Communities campaign, and $5,000 for two scholarships for students in their second year of the SUNY Canton nursing program.
The hospital is doubly fortunate to have two guilds working tirelessly on behalf of our patients and community, hospital officials said.
