PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Sarah J. Berry, 19, of Lima and Kierstyn L. Natter, 20, of Indian Lake with petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 8:35 p.m. Monday at the Potsdam Walmart.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police reported Tuesday they had charged Calvin J. Maxfield, 34, of Massena and Bobby J. Rafter, 34, of Brasher Falls for unlawful possession of marijuana following a traffic stop at 1:50 p.m. Jan. 24 on Hammill Road in the town of Massena. Maxfield was also ticketed for an equipment violation - inadequate brake lights.

BURGLARY - MOIRA - Malone-based state police reported Tuesday they had charged Danny S. French, 23, of Fort Covington with third-degree burglary, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana on Saturday.

Police said the arrest stems from a burglary investigation reported on July 8, 2013 at a vacant building on state Route 95 in Moira. They said the suspect forced entry and stole copper piping. French’s identity was determined through DNA evidence found at the scene, according to police.

French allegedly fled on food when troopers attempted to arrest him and, when he was apprehended, was allegedly found in possession of a small quantity of marijuana.

He was arraigned in Moira Town Court and sent to the Franklin County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - POTSDAM - An early morning snow followed by high winds led to whiteout conditions and slick road conditions and a number of property damage accidents around the region on Monday. Among those:

■ Mary K. Dolan, 50, of Rensselaer Falls at 8:23 a.m. on the Morley-Potsdam Road, near Schoolhouse Road, in the town of Potsdam.

■ Walter C. Stein, 76, of Lisbon and Alexander J. Richards, 20, of Indian Lake were involved in a two-vehicle collision at 10:16 a.m. on the Morley-Potsdam Road, near Perry Road, in the town of Canton.

■ Sandra L. Cunningham, 65, of Massena at 9:14 a.m. on state Route 37, near James Street, in the town of Waddington.

■ Chelsea Marie Lafave, 19, of Brasher Falls at 3:20 p.m. on state Route 56, near Woodland Drive, in the town of Louisville.

■ Mary L. Davey, 60, of Moira at 8:13 a.m. on state Route 95, near Route 11, in the town of Moira.

■ Judy A. Abare, 60, of North Bangor, Jennifer M. Damon, 31, of Moira and Lucas P. Garrand, 22, of North Bangor at 10:12 a.m. on Route 11, near Brockway Road, in the town of Bangor.

■ Susan M. Wojakowski, 58, of Winthrop and Michael P. Germain, 57, of Oswego at 2:20 p.m. on state Route 104, near J Ackmin Road, in the town of Oswego.
