CHASE MILLS: Liguori Joseph “Junior” Murphy, 89, of County Route 14, passed away on Jan. 28, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Home in Ogdensburg. Friends and family may be received on Friday January 31, 2014 from 4-7 P.M. at the Phillips Memorial Home in Massena. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 10:00 A.M.Saturday February 1, 2014 at the St. Lawrence Church in Louisville with Rev.Donald J. Manfred presiding. Interment will be held in the spring in the parish cemetery. Liguori was born on August 8, 1924 in Madrid the son of Liguori and Catherine (Cavanaugh) Murphy. He married Mary Dowe on June 25,1949 at St. Raymond’s Church with Rev. Wilfred Nugent presiding. Mary predeceased him on August 17, 2000. Liguori worked on his dairy farm and also was a truck driver hauling milk and feed. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Waddington, and a communicant of St. Lawrence Church in Louisville. He is survived by his children; Joseph L. (Melissa), William J. (Trudi) both of Victor, NY; Gerald P.(Patti) of Camillus, NY; James L.(Kristin Sosnowski) of Baton Rouge, LA; Robert M. of Round Rock, TX; Alice(John) LeBeau of Baldwinsville, NY: Ann (Robert) Hamby of Liverpool, NY:Jane M. of Syracuse, NY; Frances R. of Syracuse, NY: 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. A brother John of Buffalo and sister, Rita Murphy of Ogdensburg, NY. He was predeceased by a sister Margaret Alquire and brother Francis. Memorial contributions may be made in Liguori’s name to the St.Josephs Home; 950 Linden St, Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
