Massena Village Board to discuss 2 percent tax cap

MASSENA - When the village board meets tonight, the first item up for discussion will be whether to approve a resolution that will allow it to exceed the state’s 2 percent tax cap.

That decision will come following a public hearing on the matter set for 5:30 p.m. tonight.

The board is also expected to set a date for a public hearing to discuss recreational fires and open burning regulations.

A public comment period will be held, and members of the public are invited to attend.
