ST. REGIS FALLS - Perfect but still unfinished business.
That is how St. Regis Falls coach Justin Todd feels after his Saints completed a unbeaten regular season at 18-0, 14-0 in the NAC East Divison by defeating Brushton-Moira 51-31 Saturday.
Well, we did it! 18-0!! I am very proud of this team and for what we have accomplished. But we know that our work isnt done. The playoffs are going to be a huge challenge, as there are many very talented teams. Brushton really competed hard today. They had a great second half. They will be a tough out in the C Playoffs, said Todd.
We were able to spread it out today, and got good contributions from many people. We did not shoot our free throws well, which is a major concern for us going into the playoffs. We will try to iron out the wrinkles this week.
Corey LaBounty generated three three-pointers in a 11 point, five rebound, four assiss and three blocked shot effort for St. Regis.
Ryan Duquette tallied 11 points, three rebounds and three assists. Louie Goodrow chipped in 10 points, nine boards, three assists, three steals and one blocked shot. Brandon Votra grabbed 10 rebounds and scored eight points. Adam Martin and Bryan Aubrey each scored six points for Brushton-Moira (10-8, 7-7 NAC East), Alex Burnett added five while Zach Burnett, Trent Gary finished with four.
