LOUISVILLE - Police agencies throughout St. Lawrence County are searching for a dark small pickup as part of an investigation into an alleged armed robbery reported shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday at Steve’s Stop and Shop on Route 37.

Police transmissions indicate a white male wearing a camouflage coat and jeans with a dark bandana covering his face entered the store and displayed a revolver.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’11 and 180 pounds. He left the scene in a dark colored pick up truck, possibly a Ford Ranger, and headed eastbound on state Route 37.

Multiple state police units remained on the scene late Tuesday, and troopers and state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation investigators were inside the store analyzing the crime scene.

State police Sr. Investigator Timothy J. Peets said late Tuesday night that state police were conducting interviews and that the investigation was continuing.
