LOUISVILLE - State police invesigators are expected to release additional information this morning about a reported robbery Tuesday night at a convenience store on Route 37 in the town of Louisville.

Troopers made two arrests late Tuesday night following their investigation into the case.

Police agencies throughout St. Lawrence County started searching for a dark small pickup as part of an investigation into an alleged armed robbery reported shortly at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday at Steve’s Stop and Shop on Route 37.

Police transmissions indicated a white male wearing a camouflage coat and jeans with a dark bandana covering his face entered the store and displayed a revolver.

The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5’11 and 180 pounds. He left the scene in a dark colored pick up truck, possibly a Ford Ranger, and headed eastbound on state Route 37, police said.

Multiple state police units remained on the scene late Tuesday, and troopers and state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation investigators were inside the store analyzing the crime scene.

State police Sr. Investigator Timothy J. Peets said Tuesday night that state police were conducting interviews and that the investigation was continuing.

At one point Tuesday night, troopers walked a male and a female into the store. It was unclear what their connection was to the case.
