MASSENA: Margaret A. Blair, 89, of North Main St. passed away at her home on Feb. 14, 2014. Friends and family may be received on Monday (Feb. 17, 2014) from 4-7 P.M. at Phillips Memorial Home, Massena. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday (Feb. 18, 2014) at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church in Massena with Rev. Jack Downs presiding. Interment will be held in the spring in Calvary Cemetery. Margaret was born on August 11, 1924 the daughter of Alvah and Ruth (Trushaw) Jenkins. Margaret married Donald G. Blair on August 26, 1939 at St. Augustine Church in Peru with Rev. Turrel. Mr. Blair predeceased her on October 25, 1998. She is survived by children, Lloyd Blair, Helen (Richard) Delisle, and Sandra (Harold) Brothers all of Massena, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Barbara Blair on Nov. 16, 2013, a grandson, Ricky Barkley, two brothers, Raymond and Gerald Jenkins, and two sisters, Katherine Demers and Eunice Besaw. Margaret enjoyed camping with her late husband. She also enjoyed watching the gospel hour on television and the Lawrence Welk Show reruns. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
