Elizabeth Bocskor, age 93, formerly of Massena, passed away on February 11, 2014, at Avow Hospice House in Naples, Florida. Betty was born in Porozio, Hungary, on March 21, 1920, to John and Ester Kovacs. She came to Massena as a teenager to live with her grandparents, John and Elizabeth Telek. She learned to speak English by attending Pine Grove Elementary School. Betty and Paul Bocskor were married on May 18, 1940. During the 60’s, she worked at the Boston Store, keeping the jewelry department in the best possible shape. After retirement, they moved to Casselberry, Florida, where she lived until the death of Paul in 2007. She then moved to Naples, Florida, to be near her son, Victor and his wife Joan. She was predeceased by her other son, Tibor wife Darlene) in 2009. Betty’s family was always the joy of her life. In addition to her son Victor and his wife, Joan, Betty leaves three loving graddaughters, Lisa Bartalo of Massena, Andrea Bocskor Fuller of Naples, and Lori Renne of Port Charlotte, Florida. She also leaves two great granddaughters, Ashli Bartalo, a student at Albany Pharmaceutical, and Makenzi Fuller, a student at Baron Collier High School in Naples. Betty will be dearly remembered in all their hearts. A memorial service was held at the Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on February 14, 2014. Burial was at the All Saints Memorial Garden in Casselberry. Donations can be made in Betty’s memory to Avow Hospice of Naples.
