Quality Inn, Massena, site of Saturday Healing Miracle Services

MASSENA - Two Healing Miracle Services, led by a husband and wife team from Qualifying Times Ministry in Southwick, Mass., will be held today at the Quality Inn in Massena

The services, scheduled for 1-5 p.m. and 7-11 p.m. in the hotel’s conference rooms, will be led by Pastor Bob and Linda Hawley. Mr. Hawley is the senior pastor of Qualifying Times Ministry, Inc. His wife, also a pastor, is a licensed mental health counselor through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

They will also be speaking Sunday at New Life Christian Church on the St. Regis Mohawk Reservation.

“We welcome everyone,” said Lisa Arquette, who facilitated the trip by the Hawleys to Massena.

Ms. Arquette said she had met Mr. Hawley about five years ago when he held a service. And that left an impression on her.

“Bob started praying for people. It was like nothing I’ve ever seen in my life, the way he’d pray for people,” she said.

She also attended another one of his meetings in Vermont.

“I’ve been trying to get him to come up here for five years. He said ‘I’m not going to come unless I’m invited.’ I said, ‘What would it take to get you up here?’ He said, ‘If you pay my expenses - my hotel, my food, my gas - I’ll come,’” Ms. Arquette said.

They were able to work out the date, but it only gave her two weeks to arrange everything.

“I’ve thrown this together in two weeks. I’ve been emailing everyone I can think of. I want to expose him to as many people as possible,” she said.

So what can people expect if they attend one of the services? There will be music and worship, and Mr. Hawley will share his message before praying for the people.

“They can expect, number one, that they’re going to leave there changed. They’re going to be changed somehow, whether it’s through a healing or emotionally,” Ms. Arquette said.

She said she has seen the miracles happen - individuals cured of cancer, mental health issues, addiction and blindness.

“This isn’t just someone praying for someone sick. This is bona fide miracles,” she said. “When he ministers to you, you’re healed through it.”

Holding the services at the Quality Inn provides a neutral site for those who typically don’t attend religious services, according to Ms. Arquette.

“It’s not in a particular church. It’s a neutral place, a place that people that come. They don’t have to be a churchgoer. They don’t have to believe anything,” she said.
