Ogdensburg police blotter


Ogdensburg police arrested Joshua G. Bresett, 24, of 302 Lake St., at 2:32 p.m. Tuesday at the 100 section of Belmont Courts for resisting arrest. He was also arrested on a city court bench warrant for failing to appear at his court date. Mr. Bresett was arraigned and released under his own recognizance for the bench warrant. Police also arrested Mr. Bresett on a county court bench warrant for violating his probation and on city court arrest warrants for second-degree burglary, endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree attempted assault. He was taken to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond. The charges stemmed from an incident at 909 Mechanic St. on Dec. 14.


Police arrested Ryan C. Hughes, 18, of 11 Mill St., at 9:23 a.m. Wednesday at his home on a city court arrest warrant for second-degree harassment. He was arraigned and released under his own recognizance.


Police arrested Arthur J. Todd, 36, of 265 Morley-Potsdam Road, Canton, at 11:39 a.m. Wednesday at the police station on a city court bench warrant for failing to appear at his court date. He was arraigned and paid a fine.
