Massena man charged with felony DWI

MASSENA — Massena-based state police on Wednesday charged Christopher R. LePage, 26, of 355 Main St., Massena, with felony counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated-previous conviction in 10 years.

Troopers said they stopped LePage for allegedly speeding and not stopping at a red light at 10:35 p.m. in the parking lot of Pappy’s bowling alley on East Orvis Street in the village.

LePage reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent.

Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes proof of intoxication. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or higher.

LePage was additionally ticketed for speed in zone (64mph/35mph zone), failure to stop at a steady red arrow, and passing a red light.

He was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court and released under the supervision of the probation department.
