AMHERST - It wil be a busy day in Amherst for a number of local teams looking to make it to tomorrow’s semi-finals in the USA Hockey New York state Tier II and Tier III tournaments being played in Amherst this weekend.

Here are the tourament results we have so far. We will update them throughout the day; Tier II, U-14, Bantams:

St. Lawrence Thunder

Saturday, 7:05 p.m., vs. GNY. Scouting report: Thunder enter final game of roundrobin with a 2-0 mark. GNY is 1-1. GNY downed Cheektowaga 4-2 and dropped a 5-2 decision to Syracuse Blazers.

Tier III, U14, Bantams:

Louisville

Saturday, 5:15 p.m., vs. Palisades. Scouting report: A battle of unbeatens for the top side in their division heading into the semis Sunday morning. Louisville is facing a stingy defense that has not allowed a goal in its first two tournament games. Palisades blanked Olean 3-0 and shut out Cortland 3-0.

Tri-Town

Saturday, 5:15 p.m., vs. Pelham. Scouting report: Tri-Town (1-1) faces unbeaten Pelham (1-0-1). Pelham heads into this afternoon’s game with a 3-0 victory over Geneseo and a 1-1 tie with Onondaga. The Onondaga 4-2 win over Tri-Town yesterday included an empty net goal.
