HYDODERMIC INSTRUMENT - RUSSELL - Canton-based state police charged Michael V. Huckle, 29, of Canton with possession of a hypodermic needle and endangering the welfare of a child Friday morning stemming from an investigation into an incident reported Feb. 23 from the town of Russell.



PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Zach C. Gregori, 23, of Canton with petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 5:35 p.m. Friday at the Potsdam Walmart.



PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Randilee M. Kendall, 30, of Canton with petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 8:37 p.m. Friday at the Potsdam Walmart.



UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Cory J. Gladle, 18, of Massena with unlawful possession of marijuana at 8 a.m. Friday at 73 Ames St.



CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - PLATTSBURGH - Plattsburgh-based state police charged Merlin P. Guyette, 43, of Winthrop with second-degree criminal contempt following an investigation into an alleged violation of an order of protection complaint filed with troopers at 8:33 p.m. Friday from the city of Plattsburgh.



FAILURE TO EXERCISE CONTROL - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Mary K. Horning, 38, of Malone with failure to exercise control of a minor Friday following a sex offense investigation launched following a complaint on July 10 from the town of Moira.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - POTSDAM - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents on Friday. Among those:

■ Kerri A. Blevins, 38, of Colton at 7:18 a.m. on state Route 56, near Old State Road, in the town of Potsdam.
