CANTON - Former Salmon River Central standout Karyss Terrance (Hogansburg, NY) of the SUNY Canton womens basketball team was named a United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Honorable Mention All-American, as announced on Tuesday evening.
Terrance ranks first on the team in points per game (12.3), first in rebounds per game (10.9), first in field goals made per game (4.3), first in free throw attempts (7.1) and made free throws (3.6) per game, second in field goal percentage (.403), third in assists per game from her forward position (1.4), and first in minutes per game (36.4).
The sophomore ranks first in the USCAA in offensive rebounds (124), third in rebounds per game (10.9), second in offensive rebounds per game (5.9), 15th in free throws made per game, 33rd in points per game, and 35th in field goals made per game.
Terrance averages a double-double per game recording 10 total this season. She netted a career-high 22 points to go with 16 rebounds in a win over Penn State Beaver.
Terrance ripped down a career-high 21 boards in an overtime loss to Morrisville State. She scored in double figures in 15 games, while pulling down double digit rebound totals in 14 contests.
The Hogansburg product was named Roo of the Week twice this season, on November 18th and February 3rd.
