Trudy was bornJuly 21, 1929 and raised on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in Ogdensburg, NY. She passed away peacefully on Feb 19, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She married Thomas H. Davies, July 11, 1953. Mom’s great adventure started when dad, a civil engineer, moved the family to Washington State in the 1960’s where she would raise her family. She always put her own needs last as her family was her greatest priority. She loved the great outdoors, gardening, camping, picnicking, road trips, holidays with family, staying current with the Ogdensburg Journal, summers at Deep Lake Resort, bird watching, trying new recipes, exploring new restaurants, history, her British comedy shows, Sherlock Holmes, politics, her faithful companion dog, Honey, and summering in the last 5 years of her life in California with her son, Tom. Thanks to her son, Joe, she was able to remain in her home even as her health declined. She and Dad will be greatly missed by their children who truly cherished them. They loved all of their children equally and unconditionally. If anyone needed a helping hand, they were always there. They truly loved each other and were wonderful parents, great friends and companions as well as second parents to many who will miss them dearly. Their legacy of generosity love and kindness will be carried on by their family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Delbert J. Paquette Sr. and Mary Margaret Thorpe, Brother: Delbert J. Paquette Jr., Sister: Libby Tortoriello (Scotty), Niece: Margie Blair, Son-in-Law, Martin Brenner and her loving husband, Thomas H. Davies (b. August 22, 1929 - d. April 13, 2008) who she missed greatly and now will be with him again. She is survived by her loving children: Peggy (Michael), Tom (Wanna), Joe, Jim (Nicole), Tammy (Chris), Suzie (Jim), 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren, Nephew, Michael Tortoriello and Sister-in-Law, Drusilla Howland. There will be a private family only ceremony to celebrate the life of this wonderful, beautiful caring couple who touch so many. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in their memory to the SPCA, Overlake Medical Center Bellevue, WA, or a favorite charity of your choice.
