UTICA - The Tri-Town bantams won the battle of the Northern Zone representatives with a 5-1 decision over Louisville and will play Onondaga for the state title later today.

The rivals had tied 1-1 in the sectional tournament held last month at the Tri-Town Community Center.

Tri-Town, backed by a strong goaltending performance by Bransen Kinnear, took a 2-0 lead into the third period enroute to their victory.

Trent Dow led Tri-Town with two goals and Keith Felix, Carter Brown and Drew Rose also scored for the winners.

Onondaga opened the Tier III state tournament with a 4-2 victory over Tri-Town, a win that included an open net goal.

The puck is scheduled to drop at 4 p.m. for the championship game.
