MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged three men Saturday following an investigation into numerous car larcenies and burglaries that occurred to garages and out-buildings in St. Lawrence County.
The thefts occurred in the areas of Lisbon, Madrid, Waddington, Louisville and Chase Mills. The defendants took various items such as propane tanks, gas cans, returnable bottles and cans and some items of clothing between October 2013 and January 2014.
Arrested were Caleb B Carr, 18, of Lisbon; Nicholas D. Mallory, 18, of Lisbon; and Dylan P. Thivierge, 18, of Madrid.
All three were charged with one count of second-degree burglary, three counts of third-degree burglary and one count of fifth-degree conspiracy. Carr was additionally charged with one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
All three men were arraigned in the town of Waddington Court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. They are all to reappear on Wednesday afternoon in Waddington Town Court.
State police believe Carr, Mallory and Thivierge could have been involved in other thefts.
