ENDANGERING THE WELFARE - PARISHVILLE - Canton-based state police charged Ryan R. Corbine, 31, of Parishville and Heather M. Burns, 34, of Parishville with endangering the welfare of a child at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday following an investigation into a child abuse complaint filed with troopers at 3:38 a.m. Thursday.
PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Briana S. Maldonado, 26, of Malone and Angela D. Maldonado, 23, of Burke with petit larceny Thursday night after responding to a shoplifting complaint at JC Penney at the St. Lawrence Centre mall. The two women reportedly stole fours of Levi jeans from JC Penney. The arrest was made following a traffic stop in the town of Fort Covington.
FELONY DWI - CONSTABLE - Malone-based state police charged Troy L. Pearson, 35, of Brushton with a felony count ofaggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at approximately 10 p.m. Wednesday on state Route 122 in the town of Constable. He reportedly had a blood alcohol content of 0.21 percent. A blood alcohol content of 0.08 or higher is proof of intoxication in the state and the charge is elevated to aggravated DWI when the BAC is 0.18 percent of higher.
Pearsonheld a conditional license due to a pending felony DWI arrest stemming from a Feb. 15 incident.
He was also ticketed for making an unsafe turn, failure to stop at a stop sign, violation of conditional license and failure to notify DMV of a change of address.
Pearson was arraigned in town of Malone Court and sent to Franklin County Jail with bail set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF - BOMBAY - Malone-based state police charged Ronald A. Woods, 23, of Bombay with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment Thursday stemming from an investigation into a complaint received March 14 from the town of Bombay. He was arraigned in local court and sent to the Franklin County Jail.
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - MALONE - Malone-based state police charged Dustin M. Lauzon, 28, of Bombay with second-degree criminal contempt and picked him up on a parole revocation Thursday afternoon. He was sent to the Franklin County Jail. Lauzon had been sentenced to two years in prison from Franklin County Court for a July 2010 conviction for third-degree rape. He had been released from prison and placed under parole supervision on Sept. 30, 2011.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MOIRA - Malone-based state police charged Zachary J. Bell, 27, of Brushton with unlawful possession of marijuana and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and ticketed him for operation of an uninspected motor vehicle and a vehicle with no insurance and operation of a vehicle with inadequate headlights at 6:15 p.m. Thursday on Delancey Avenue in the town of Moira.
