ISSUING A BAD CHECK - POTSDAM - Village police charged Dianna S. Newton, 51, of Potsdam with issuing a bad check Thursday morning following an investigation into an incident from Oct. 19. Police said Newton cashed a check for $88.34 at Save A Lot, 200 Market St., on an account she knew contained insufficient funds.



INADEQUATE TAIL LAMPS - POTSDAM - Village police ticketed Courtney Carey, 31, of Brattleboro, Vt., for operation of a vehicle with inadequate tail lamps at 12:35 a.m. Thursday following a traffic stop on Market Street.
