DWI - MOIRA - A Norfolk man faces a driving while intoxicated charge after he allegedly drove off the roadway and went aitborne before landing and striking a parked vehicle.
Malone-based state police responded to the report of the property damage accident at 2:50 a.m. Sunday at 165 Patterson Road. in the town of Moira.
Troopers said Zachary J. Michaud, 20, of Norfolk, was operating a 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser, north on North Woods Road, when his vehicle ran off the roadway near the intersection of Patterson Road, struck a snow embankment and became airborne. His vehicle landed in the driveway of 165 Patterson Road and struck a parked and unoccupied 2011 Toyota Corolla.
Michaud was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. His blood alcohol was reportedly 0.15 percent.
Michaud was also ticketed for failure to keep right, failure to stop at a stop sign, and unreasonable speed.
Michaud is to appear on March 31 in the town of Moira Court.
Troopers said Michaud was not injured as a result of the crash.
