Remington, 70, of 1818 state Route 95, Bombay, with misdemeanor counts of forcible touching, second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child Friday afternoon. He allegedly had sexual contact with a female under 17 years of age during the summer of 2012 in the town of Hopkinton. He was released on an appearance ticket for Hopkinton Town Court.
AGGRAVATED DWI - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Gabriel T. Houle, 42, of Norfolk with two counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated under Leandras Law and unlawful possession of marijuana at 5:07 p.m. Thursday following a personal injury accident on the Morley-Potsdam Road. He reportedly had two children in his vehicle at the time of the accident.
CRIMINAL POSSESSION MARIJUANA - LISBON - Ogdensburg-based state police charged Martin L. Via, 54, of Hogansburg with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana - more than four ounces following a stop at 6:15 p.m. Thursday on the bridge approach road in the town of Lisbon.
THEFT OF SERVICES - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Elwin J. Paige, 34, of Massena with theft of services - telecom tampering following an investigation into complaint received at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday. The arrest was made Thursday morning at 575 state Route 11C, Winthrop.
TRESPASSING - POTSDAM - Massena-based state police charged Deborah L. Marcellus, 32, of Gouverneur with second-degree criminal trespass after responding to a complaint at 9:45 a.m. Thursday from the town of Potsdam.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - NORTH LAWRENCE - Massena-based state police charged Howard A. Deshane, 44, of North Lawrence and Daniel Makuch, 26, of Massena with unlawful possession of marijuana at 7:36 p.m. Thursday in the town of Brasher, The arrests were made at 2507 County Route 55.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Ishleen Chhatwal, 34, of Kanata, Ont., with unlawful possession of marijuana after being turned over to troopers at 9:46 p.m. Thursday following a secondary inspection at the U.S. port of entry in Rooseveltown.
