SLC Arts executive director stepping down fom post

POTSDAM - After a year and a half at the helm of SLC Arts, current director Rebekah Wilkins-Pepiton will be leaving the area and moving to Washington state.

Wilkins-Pepiton moved to the north country during the summer of 2012 and was selected that fall to be the executive director of SLC Arts. She and her family will be leaving the north country on June 1 to return to the Inland Northwest of the United States after nine years’ absence from that region.

“I hope in the last 18 months I’ve contributed to making the north country a better place for artists to live and work,” Wilkins-Pepiton said.

The Board of Directors for SLC Arts has opened a search for a new executive director for the organization. SLC Arts (the St. Lawrence County Arts Council) is a not-for-profit, community service organization which works to Build Community Through the Arts with Artist Support, Community Art Education and Cultural Enrichment.
