DWI - COLTON - Canton-based state police charged Renee M. Hassett, 42, of Potsdam with driving while intoxicated - alcohol or drugs and ticketed her for failure to keep right following an investigation into a personal injury accident reported March 2 from state Route 56 in the town of Colton.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT - CANTON - Canton-based state police charged Shane H. Parsons, 27, of Ray Brook with second-degree criminal contempt and second-degree aggravated harassment Thursday stemming from an investigation into an alleged violation of an order of protection reported to troopers at 3:30 p.m. March 3 from the town of Canton.

PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - POTSDAM - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents Wednesday and early Thursday morning around the region. Among those:

■ Tonia M. Phippen, 39, of Potsdam at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday on County Route 56, near Kingsley Road, in the town of Hopkinton.

■ Francis D. Blair, 37, and Eugene F. Sawyer, 37, both of South Colton, at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday on state Route 56, near Main Street, in the town of Colton.

■ Shawna A. Bero, 29, of Rooseveltown at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday on state Route 190, near Purdy Road, in the town of Altona.

■ Andrew T. McCarthy, 23, of Brushton at 2:26 p.m. Thursday on Garvin Road, near County Route 8, in the town of Bangor.

■ Melissa Louise Besio, 41, of Moira and Makensy Kay Bazdaric, 17, of Dickinson Center, at 12:01 a.m. Thursday on High Street, near Route 11, in the town of Moira.
