Easter Bunny makes his way to St. Lawrence Centre

MASSENA - While the St. Lawrence Centre hosted its annual Easter egg hunt last weekend, children still have time to visit with the Easter Bunny and have their pictures taken with perhaps the world’s most famous rabbit.

The Easter Bunny will be appearing at St. Lawrence Centre starting Friday and will remain there through April 19, the day before Easter.

“The Easter Bunny arrived last week and was very well received,” according to St. Lawrence Centre Marketing Manager Ronald J. Patnode, who added the arrival of the Easter Bunny signals that spring is indeed here.

“It’s the official start of spring, that and the Rotary pancake breakfast,” Mr. Patnode, who is a Rotarian, said.

Given the success of pet photos with Santa, Mr. Patnode said the mall has also added additional pet photo nights with the Easter Bunny.

“It was so successful with Santa that we’ve done it for the Easter Bunny too,” he said.

Pet photo nights are from noon to 8 p.m. April 15, 16 and 17 and from 6 to 8 p.m. April 11 and 18.

Children without pets may visit the Easter Bunny during these times, however, these are the only times people with pets should bring animals to the mall.

Mr. Patnode said the price for photos and picture packages start at $9, but no purchase is required.

“Pictures start at $9, although visits with the Easter Bunny are always free, and children may even get a little something from him,” he said.

The Easter Bunny will be at St. Lawrence Centre from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Starting on Monday and until April 18, the Easter Bunny will be available in center court from noon to 8 p.m. He will be available from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 19.

Mr. Patnode also said he would like to remind shoppers that the mall will be open regular hours on Good Friday, closed on Easter Sunday and return to normal hours on April 21.

Sears, which is holding a spring coloring contest, will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Easter. Pictures for the contest are available in the store, with the winners being selected on May 4 when the store holds its friends and family sale event.
