Funeral services for Richard Hooper, age 62, of West Lake Rd., DePeyster NY will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Mr. Hooper passed away at his home Thursday evening, April 10, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Hooper is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Ann Montroy and husband Scott Schot of Ogdensburg and Amy Jones of Lisbon; three sons, Richard and his wife, Julie, of Ogdensburg, Scott of Lisbon and Keith and his wife, Renee, of Ogdensburg; one brother, Clifford and his wife, Eunice, of Ogdensburg; five sisters, Shirley and Robert Gagnon of Rensselaer Falls, Barbara Johnson of Ogdensburg, Beverly Kehrli and her husband, Mike, Central Square, Nancy Burwell and her husband, Randy, of DeKalb, and Rosemary Hooper of Ogdensburg; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Ernie.

Mr. Hooper was born in Ogdensburg on September 17, 1952, the son of Clifford and Marie Antoinette Gagnon Hooper. He attended Heuvelton High School. He married Bonnie Fredenburg on May 20, 1972 in Heuvelton. Mr. Hooper worked for Losurdo Cheese for many years. He retired due to ill health. He was an avid pool player and belonged to the City and Country pool leagues. He loved hunting and camping.
