Masssena man charged after chasing another man with brick, knife

MENACING - MASSENA - Village police charged Bobby C. Page, 27, of 441 South Main St., Massena, with two counts of second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment Saturday afternoon after he allegedly attempted to attack another man with a brick and then a knife on South Main Street.

Village police said they received a complaint at 3:30 p.m. Saturday that Page had been chasing J.J. Love with a brick on South Main Street. After Love was able to wrestle the brick away from him, Page went inside his apartment, grabbed a knife, went back outside and again attempted to attack Love. The Massena man was taken into custody at 4:05 p.m.

Page was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. The court also signed a temporary order of protection directing Page to stay away from Mr. Love.
