Norwood-Norfolk honors its Students of the Month

NORFOLK - The staff at Norwood-Norfolk Central School recently chose the Students of the Month for February. The students are selected for their academic achievements, integrity and leadership in the school and throughout the community.

Marcus Agen is the Freshman Student of the Month for February. He is the son of Linda Agen of Norwood.

Marcus loves to cook and to read.

Marcus plans to attend college and join the military.

Kylee LaShomb is the Sophomore Student of the Month for February. She is the daughter of Trina Reome and Mark LaShomb of Norfolk.

Kylee likes to play sports and enjoys spending time with friends. She is on the varsity soccer, basketball and softball teams. Kylee is also a member of the Varsity and Spanish Clubs. She participates in art and band, as well as the ADP Program.

Kylee’s future plans are to go to college and hopefully play sports as she pursues a medical career.

Sarah Darabon is the Junior Student of the Month for February. She is the daughter of Betsy and Peter Darabon of Norwood.

Sarah enjoys watching sports and spending time with friends. She participates in softball and yearbook.

Sarah’s goal is to study paramedicine at Finger Lakes Community College.

Miranda Langtry is the Senior Student of the Month for February. She is the daughter of Lisa and Allen Langry II of Norwood.

Miranda is interested in science, dentistry and basketball. She participates in soccer, basketball, Key Club, Varsity Club and National Honor Society.

Miranda plans to attend Canisius College to major in biology and then go on to dental school.

The Norwood-Norfolk PTSA solicits gift cards from local businesses for each student. The businesses that donated are the Hotel Grande and Al Smiths of Norfolk and The Hometown Café and Lobster House of Norwood.

Also, the Norwood-Norfolk Teacher’s Association presents the Senior Student of the Month with a gift card to the Clarkson Bookstore.
