CRIMINAL POSSESSION WEAPON - DICKINSON - Malone-based state policecharged Mark B. Bogett, 43, of St. Regis Falls with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weaponand unlawful possession of marijuana at 1:45 p.m. Monday following a traffic stop on County Route 5 in the town of Dickinson.

Troopers said Bogett, a passengerin the vehicle, was found in possession of a .22 rifle, and a small quantity of marijuana.

State police said Bogett was not allowed to possess the weapon due to a prior felony conviction.Bogett was issued appearance ticketsfor May 14 in Dickinson Town Court.

The operator of the vehicle, Jodi L. Bogett, was ticketed for having no front license plate.



STALKING - HOLMES HILL - Massena-based state police charged Joseph L. Paul, 42, of Winthrop with fourth-degree stalking after responding to a prowler complaint at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday in the town of Stockholm. Troopers said the arrest was made at his residence 9428 Route 11, Winthrop.

Paul is a Level II sex offender. He was convicted in September 2005 of third-degree rape stemming from an incident involving a 16-year-old female. A Level II classification means an offender is considered a moderate risk to commit another sex crime.



PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Marley B. Carroll, 22, of Chatham with petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 5:24 p.m. Monday at the Potsdam Walmart.



PETIT LARCENY - POTSDAM - Canton-based state police charged Delphine O. Uwanomen, 19, of Brooklyn with petit larceny after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 7:42 p.m. Monday at the Potsdam Walmart.



UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Veronique Henri, 23, of Valleyfield, Que., with unlawful possession of marijuana at 8:58 p.m. Monday after U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents found her in possession of a small amount of marijuana during a secondary inspection.



PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENT - MOIRA - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region on Monday and early Tuesday morning. Among those:

■ Craig T. Ramsdell, 45, of Winthrop at 5:18 a.m. Tuesday on Route 11, near County Route 16, in the town of Moira.
