HEUVELTON - The First Annual Matthew P. Davis Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, July 12 at the Gilbert Greens Golf Club, on the Taylor Road in Heuvelton, beginning at 10 a.m.
The Tournament is being held to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Cycle of Life Foundation.
There are approimatley 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis who struggle everyday just to breathe.
Matt Davis, a devoted husband, son, grandfather, brother, uncle nephew and cousin was one of those victims of the disease. The format of the golf tournament will be a four-man scramble with a shot gun start. The $200 team entry fee includes golf, a cart and lunch. Golfers may purcase mulligans and a skins game, a longest drive and closest to the pin competitions will be held along with a putting contest.
All money raised will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Team Matt Davis cycling team.
