CRIMINAL POSSESSION WEAPON - MASSENA - Village police charged Jamie L. Jandrew, 27, of 190 Center St., Apt. 3, Massena, with disorderly conduct and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 9:04 p.m. Sunday after responding to a complaint at 2 Richards St. Police said Jandrew was acting disorderly and found to be in possession of a butterfly-style knife. Jandrew had been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child earlier in the week after she allegedly left her two children - ages one and two - alone at her apartment. She was released on an appearance ticket on the new charges.
OBSTRUCTION OF GOVERNMENTAL ADMINISTRATION - MASSENA - Village police charged Richard A. Russell, 52, no fixed address, with obstruction of governmental administration and an open container violation at 5:31 p.m. Sunday at the park on the north side of the footbridge. Polic said an allegedly intoxicated Russell repeatedly refused to provide them with his address - saying it was his right to do so - after he was found drinking a beer at the footbridge park. Police said they were seeking his address to complete an appearance ticket for the open container violation. He was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow, told the court he had refused to give police an address because he was a homeless veteran and was released on his own recognizance.
PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Village police charged Dustin A. Graves, 20, of 22 Grassmere Ave., Massena, with petit larceny at 11:55 a.m. Sunday following an investigation into a complaint that he had stolen Fentanyl patches from a friends residence at 27 Cornell Ave.
UNLAWFUL POSSESSION - MASSENA - Village police charged Collin A. Chase, 19, of 237 County Route 43, Lot 21, Massena, with unlawful possession of marijuana at 7 a.m. Sunday on Maple Street. He was reportedly found sleeping in the vehicle of an underage female friends mother. When police investigated that complaint, they said they found Chase was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
