NORFOLK – Mrs. Barbara E. Haig, 69, formerly of Norfolk and a winter resident of Moore Haven, Florida, passed away on April 13, 2014 at Palms West Hospital in Florida, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.Barb was born July 29, 1944 in Malone, the daughter of the late Ralph and Hattie Farquhar Clark. She was a high school math teacher at Massena High School for 30 years until her retirement. Barb was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also truly loved the winters she spent in Florida.

Barb is survived by her husband, Kermit; her children, Kim Clary of Potsdam and Kyle and Katje Foster of Hannawa Falls; her stepchildren, JoAnn Snider of Massena and Michael Haig of Arizona; her grandchildren, Matthew Clark, Nathan Foster, and Cameron Rae Foster; and her step-grandchildren, Corey and Meaghan.

She is also survived by four brothers, Donald and Dolly Clark of Maryland; Wayne and Suzanne Clark of Michigan; Robert and Maggie Clark of Malone; Wesley and Gladys Clark of Florida; and 9 nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to join the family at a memorial gathering to celebrate Barb’s life on Saturday, May 17 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
