Ogdensburg police blotter


■ Ogdensburg police ticketed Michelle L. E. Vangarden, 19, of 316 Adams Avenue, at 11:27 a.m. Sunday at 513 Ogden St. for having a dog “at large.”

■ Police arrested Kevin M. McCarthy, 30, of 462 County Route 4, for criminal solicitation or seeking to engage another person to commit a crime. He was transferred to St. Lawrence County jail.

■Police charged Alicia C. Trudell, 25, of 57 Law Lane, Canton, at 8:57 p.m. for petit larceny at Walmart, 3000 Ford St. Extension. She was released on an appearance ticket.

■ Police arrested Brittany L. Remi, 24, of 168 Lost Village for failure to appear to answer a charge of fourth-degree stalking. She was released on an appearance ticket.

■ Police arrested Jessica L. Marin, of 455 Belmont Courts, at 4:03 p.m. Saturday at the 300 section of Belmont Courts for failure to complete her community service sentence. She was originally charged with second-degree harassment. She was arraigned by Judge William R. Small and released on an appearance ticket.

■ Police ticketed Robert W. Monpetit, 55, of 808 New York Avenue, at 1:59 p.m. Saturday at the corner of Ford Street and State Highway 37 for following too closely after the vehicle he was driving struck a vehicle driven by Beverly A. Dunn, 52, of 122 Equinelle Dr., Kemptville, Ont.

■ Police charged Jared C. Trimm, 18, of 219 Paterson St., Apartment 1, and Rickie D. Lawton, 21, of 131 Paterson St., at 5:59 a.m. Thursday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Both were released on appearance tickets.

■ Police arrested Matisha L. Wineglass, 21, of 306 Main St., at 1 p.m. Thursday on a St. Lawrence County Court bench warrant. She was arraigned by Judge Richards and sent to county jail, Canton, without bail.

■ Police arrested Tina M. Murray, 42, of 20 Merkley Drive, Lisbon, on a County Court bench warrant at 10:44 p.m. Thursday. She arraigned at Judge Richards and sent to county jail without bail.

■ Police arrested Tige K. Smith, 42, of 338 Longnecker St., Buffalo, at 11:44 p.m. Thursday at Erie County Jail, 40 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo, for failure to appear. He was transported to St. Lawrence County Jail.

■ Police issued Mark H. Youngs, 43, of 520 Knox St., a city summons at his home at 11:50 a.m. Friday for operating a taxi without a license.
